german language camp

Young participants from all over the world make our German Camp an "International Camp" and thus create a meeting place for different cultures, languages and viewpoints!

„Live language instead of learning!“

...this is our motto for the German Camp! German becomes the camp language, be it in individual workshops, around the campfire or during an excursion! Our common goal is to immediately apply what we have learned in everyday situations at the camp and during the numerous leisure activities. On the first day after arrival, a placement test is conducted and based on the results, participants are assigned to the appropriate language level group.
Various workshops and project units with qualified teachers in the amount of 20 learning units per week (45 minutes each) help to immerse into the foreign language in a relaxed and lively way or to deepen already existing knowledge!

But now the real thing! - Let's start with grammar

With tips and tricks, mnemonic devices and song lyrics that make the German grammar jungle a little clearer, grammar can be exciting and fun!

Lederhosen & Co - regional studies and cultural errors

Sound of Music, Mozart, Lederhosen, mountains - that's Austria! What is typical for your country? At the German Camp you will get to know many different cultures!

Vocabulary training and conversation

With the help of role plays, sketches and small presentations, language barriers are broken down and vocabulary is expanded in a playful way.

In addition to the intensive German lessons and exciting sports and adventure programs, as well as fun adventure games with the ya! counselors, the following highlights await you at the camp:

  • Excursion to the open-air swimming pool
  • Excursion to an attractive sightseeing spot in the province of Salzburg
  • Movie night
  • Campfire under the starry sky
  • Disco and karaoke evening

4 X 4 OUR FORMULA FOR SUCCESS

yala-infografik

Fast and successful learning is guaranteed thanks to the 4 pillars and 4 daily** units of study.

The Yala! Method has 4 main focuses: Conversation, vocabulary, grammar, country & culture. Students experience, learn and discover these themes. Lesson plans are designed to be interactive and creative - role play, discussions, presentations, games and, of course, movement are all part of the holistic language experience! Since our language teachers also double as activity guides, the things students learn become applied knowledge all on their own and allow students to easily overcome language barriers.
